Eviction Prevention

It can be scary knowing you may be evicted soon. Missed rent payments, a dispute with your landlord, or other difficulties may have put your housing at risk. At Wellspring Family Services, we can provide financial assistance for low-income families and individuals living in Seattle as well as advocacy, eviction prevention and housing stability services to those who qualify. We want to help you maintain your housing and stabilize your living situation.

Who is eligible

We welcome low-income families and individuals living in Seattle who are experiencing the possible loss of permanent housing. To be eligible you must:

  • Live within Seattle City limits in rental housing including "Section 8", "SHA", and other low income housing units.
  • Be considered low income - 50% of HUD's gross annual income guidelines (see HUD income link at right).
  • Have an income that is at least 1.5 times the amount of your rent.
  • Provide a lease agreement that includes the name of the person seeking rent assistance.
  • Have a reasonable plan to pay rent in the future.
  • Agree to complete a budget and work with a Case Manager for 6 months.
